What an attitude!

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 2:16 PM 1 comments
Lately, the topic is focused on sebastian
so, it is time to talk about twins again

Luna
she is quite a crybaby recently. Anything which she found unsuitable with her mood, she just cried out loud. These few days, she has a new nanny. Expectedly, she is clinging back to me.
She always asks me to sleep with her whenever I am around, complete with storytelling.
Last night, I was so tired reaching home. After the shower, I lied down with her and began storytelling. Sometimes, I bored with her books, so I will made up the story.
Mostly it is about animals, elephants are her favourite. In the middle of story telling,I just realized that for once or twice, I mixed up between Indonesian and English language.
I must be very very tired then.

Jovann
He expresses himself lately by throwing things away. It is not his new habit afterall, but I have noticed this attitude is getting more and more frequent. On last Sunday, after finished his Sunday school, we were about to get into a car which parked next to tiny waterway. Without anybody's expectation, he threw away his handicraft which made during the class.
The next days, I was reported, he threw away his slipper into waterway in front of our house.
Last night, I was told, my little sis took him to nearest bakery to buy 2 pieces of beef floss bread (the twins' favourite) and 2 pieces of cheese bread. During walking back home, he carried a plastic bag with those bread inside. All of sudden, he threw away the plastic bag into waterway. His aunt was shocked. I know this is an unacceptable behaviour and I have told him many times. But I was laughing all the way during this storytelling.

Frankly speaking, half of my head and heart believe this is part of their toddler development. However, the other half believe bad attitude needs a discipline. But God, help me. I do not wish to wrongly handling them. Sometimes, I am angry for their misbehaviour and apply for necessary reprimand. Afterwards, I always in doubt whether I have been overreacted.
There happens sometimes, when I just nicely talk to them and hope they get the message.

I wish to enroll in parenting school, if any!

Enough is enough

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 5:17 PM 1 comments
Let us recall our memory to my previous note about Jovann's nanny
she had asked my permission to go home for one week.
Her husband was ill and she was called back.
she had left my house since Jan 17 and scheduled to return on Jan 24 then suddenly on yesterday, she gave me a ring, to inform me that she will arrive back on Jan 27.

Why?
she said, her husband just fell off and injured his arm, so it is not possible to send her back.

This is ridiculous

I was so pissed off in hearing this and realized eventhough I am deeply disagree over her request, I cannot bring her back any faster.

This is not the first time to happen. It always happen everytime she goes hometown. Thus, naturally I am angry and tired being taken advantage of.
I am just trying being helpful when giving out the permission.
Although afterwards, I have learned that her husband was in recovery before she left my house.
In addition, although her paycheck is on every 22nd, she already took out her wages on 17th in full amount.
Once again, I am trying not to be a difficult person.
Am i asking too much if I expect her to back on time? exactly as she promised it herself?

If I am stingy, which unfortunately I am not, I should cut some allowances during her leave period.
Hey, if I do that, office is reducing my allowances. So does happen with my two other nannies. They are bind by similar regulation from their companies.

My hubby said I am too lenient
He said, never to fully approve to her proposal and always do the bargain
If she said 5 days, give her for 3 days first. Unexpectedly, she will drag it anyway.

I have spent sleepless night on last night and this morning, I sent her a mobile message:
"In the future, I will not approve you to take a week leave. then, in case of late comeback, I will deduct your allowances with amount according to number of dragged days. everyone is handfull in doing your share of work and causing many unpreventable naughtiness from Jojo towards Luna"

I do not care if she calls it quit
Afterall, I have enough.

Roll over and bowel movement

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 2:55 PM 1 comments
Ha....by today, I saw with my own eyes, Sebastian rolled over and lied on his tummy :-)
Days ago, his nanny had informed me that he started to roll over. but due to his chubby butt and head, he was unable to do that without assistance.
So, everyday, she gives encouragement and hands for Sebastian.
However, he is unable to roll back to original position yet
hoho....

one thing sits in my mind, he has no bowel movement for four days now.
when he was a newbie, his poop was several times a day, then slowly became once a day, once every two days and once every three days.
well, he did not look in pain doing it and his poop was in good shape too.
meaning, he should be in fine condition.
so, I started to browse around, to seek some answers if it is normal not to poop daily.
I have learned that formula baby and breastfed baby is different in this activity.
Formula baby usually does it daily, while not necessarily for breastfed baby.
This is due to fact that breastmilk is easy to absorp and stomach may do it very well that leaves baby nothing to poop out
At first, I though above rule should applicable to baby either with full formula and full breastfedbut it looks that baby with mixed formula and breastmilk will experience this too.

After all, I have consulted his pediatric about it and she said it is even ok to poop out once in a week. Ha... what a relieve.

He is getting chubbier than before.

Ordinary weekends

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 11:25 AM 1 comments
I'll start the story by one important fact, that Jojo's nanny had went for leave from last Thursday Jan 17 for a week period.
So, it is understood that I will spend this weekend with three kids, two nannies and one husband, of course.
For week days, we have asked assistance from my in-law next door to take care one of twins- usually Jojo- during the day.

Saturday morning, Sebastian released his sweet and loud voice at 7.30 am. Well, it was a bit late from his usual schedule at 6.45 am. He wasn't crying, actually, but rather babling with rhyme. My hubby was sleeping still and I was pretending to do so. After eavasdroping for a while, I could not stand to laugh and pick him up from his crib. In my ears, his ahh...uhh....and ooh... sounded like "hi...I'm awake now....is somebody there? I need my morning hug and kiss..." This three and half month old baby is supposed to cry when wake up, right?

After felt satisfy to talk and cuddle him, I handed him over to his nanny for a bath, in exchange with twins who happily climbed up to our bed. Hubby has opened his one eye until someone shook his arm and made him fully awake. We were discussing what to do this weekend then finally our suggestion to go swimming has agreed cheerfully by twins. I gave them one condition. They have to take their nap this afternoon and they have said yes.

After kids' lunch, I took them into bedroom and lied down together to put them to sleep. Naturally, this process is never an easy job. They requested storytelling, some drinks and few trips to toilet. Finally, I have realized that I have slept myself, when hubby tried to wake me up, with no kids slept beside me! Huh... I felt awfully sleepy and hungry, thus it forced me for lunch in next door before seached the kids.

Returning from lunch, I have decided to give them a warning. No nap time, meaning no swimming this afternoon. When I opened their bedroom door, to my surprise, I found Luna was sleeping. Well, it left only Jojo to search for. He was with hubby, watching TV, in our room. I persuaded him to nap with me in his room downstairs. Hm, you can imagine, he asked me for storytell again before felt asleep. He was really sleepy this time.
Ha. at last, everybody was sleeping, including Sebastian and their daddy. For truth, I wondered why he felt sleepy too. He has full night to rest as I am the one who always wake up to nurse Sebastian.

With house was so quiet, for a moment, I have tempted to sleep with them. However, at this point, I was no longer sleepy. Then, I decided to own wash my car. Last time I did this was 7 years ago, in my parents' house. Lately, I always go to car wash cause I am too lazy in doing it. Finished with the wash, Luna awaked. Ha... a perfect timing! I felt like cleaning our bathroom. I put her in front of TV, beside her sleeping daddy, and cleaned bath. Done with cleaning, Jojo awaked. Hubby totally forgot about swimming thing until I said so. At last, two of us went for groceries shopping and dinner in Gajah Mada Plaza, while rescheduling swimming for the next day.

One thing to upset about, during shopping, we put one box of take away pizza in hypermarket's deposit. We have forgotten about the pizza and straight went out from the plaza. We have just realized about it near Dunkin Donuts in Sangaji. Oh, we turned back and I got off in lobby plaza to get pizza in hypermart's deposit. At that moment, I have not feel tired yet, until I laid my head to sleep. During night and woke several times nursing Sebastian, I started to feel muscle ache. Of course, after washed the car, washed the bath and went back forth in plaza.

On Sunday morning, I woke up as usual with the help of Sebastian's beautiful sound. Forced to wake, to be exact, since I would rather sleep if I had the option. We attended Sunday mass and brought Sebastian with us while Luna and Jovann were in Sunday school. Afterwards, we went to Pluit mall after returned Sebastian home together with his nanny. Mall visit was nothing special. We had lunch inside, went around the stores and toilets, saw dragon dance and visited for sale puppies and rabbits.
From mall, we went to swimming pool in Gajah Mada Plaza (yes, again...). We just swam for about an hour and returned home.

In evening, I started to feel muscle ache from top to toe. During night nursing for every two hours, I have continously whinning "ooh...I am so tired". Nevertheless, I did not want to skip nursing him and miss his smile. For every time Sebastian finished, I always said in my heart "please let mommy sleeps at least another two hours before you are hungry again"

At last, this morning, once again, it was so difficult to get up from bed. My muscle was really really in pain. But here I am, in work again. (I need some coffee.....)

Really, for me, it was another ordinary weekend

First weeks back to work

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 5:58 PM 0 comments
Baru tanggal 3 Jan kemaren back to office
perlengkapan wajib yang kudu dibawa adalah botol penampung asi sama cooler box, beserta blue ice-nya. So far, thank God, ga pernah ketinggalan

Untungnya masih bulan January
My destination countries prefer the visit in month of March and afterwards until November.
Jadi, gue masih bisa tenang-tenang mompa dan menyusui bastian

Yep, you are right
sampe hari ini, masih bobo sama sebastian
malamnya menyusui dia
walah...kadang paginya berat banget turun dari ranjang
dia masih terkadang 2-3 jam sekali bangun
then terakhir gue nyusuin adalah jam setengah 5 pagi
nanggung banget kan....
mau bangun, koq masih ngantuk
mau tidur lagi, koq ntar kebablasan baru bangun jam 6.45

well, kebanyakan sih dapet option no.2
tidur lagi dan kesiangan ke kantor
jam 7.45 baru keluar rumah
after pesan-pesan kiri-kanan
termasuk cium luna, jovann, sebastian dan daddynya
sampe di kantor bisa sejam kemudian
padahal jam masuk kantor jam 8.00
heeeehhhhhhh.....

ke kantor nyetir sendiri
selalu masih nguap-nguap
tapi ilang sendiri pas tiba di office, read customer's e-mail, received their calls, attend meetings, dll....
then bisa nguap-nguap lagi deket after office hour.

tapi sampe sekarang masih semangat menyusui bastian
dia sekarang mulai belajar tengkurap dan ga sabaran kalo mau minum
jadi, kadang dia dah nangis then tengkurap sendiri, ga sabaran nungguin gue malem-malem
heheehehehe
bawelnya tetap banyak, termasuk ketawa-ketawanya
jadi terbayar deh kurang tidurnya daku.
