The book is really motivating. Talking about his childhood, the struggle against cancer and the fight for Tour de France championship. When I started to read it, I couldn't stop. I finished to read it three days in a row.

At first, I thought I will find a "creepy" story, since I never knew anyone with cancer before. However, the book told the disease in uplifting spirits. In middle part, there are some cool photos of his life. From this book, I also aware, a little bit, about this kind of sport. When reading it, I can visualized the beautiful scenery in their cycling pathways.

Always, it is best if you can read it by yourself and prepare to be touched.

The Book : The Five People You Meet in Heaven

By Mitch Albom

Done reading it.
This is the plot summary

Waktu gue mulai baca, dari judulnya saja sudah terbayang kalau ini cerita mengenai after life. Yang menarik, dari awal, seperti diberikan stop-watch. Sekian jam menuju kematian, cerita beberapa paragraf dan seterusnya. Jadi deg-degan...

As usual, baca sendiri, lebih seru...
Have fun reading yourself...

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 12:31 PM 0 comments
I finished reading this book.

Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom.

Baca sendiri cerita selengkapnya yaa...

The Book: Berani Menertawakan Diri Sendiri

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 3:33 PM 2 comments

Judul buku: Berani Menertawakan Diri Sendiri
Pengarang : Sulaiman Budiman

Salah satu cerita favorit adalah Be All You Can Be, cerita tentang tikus yang ingin jadi kucing, lalu ingin jadi anjing, dan seterusnya, sampai akhirnya kembali jadi tikus.
Baca sendiri deh. Be inspired!

Bento #71 Sushi Cake

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 12:48 PM 7 comments
This one is a first-time making and not so good in result. It is easily seen the rice almost fall-off :-p

The sushi cake is actually composed by some layers of egg-mixed rice, white rice, beef soboro rice and white rice again.
It has done it by laying out a plastic wrap by inner a small bowl, before placing those rice layers. Then wrapped the plastic for a while in keeping up the shape. Later on, I opened the plastic wrap and moved it to the box. Decorated it with kamaboko cuts and corn piece. Side dishes were steamed green squash, kani rolls and sliced kiwi.

Perhaps the choice of box was not correct too :-D oh well, I can try to make this again in future. Before close the lid, I placed a plastic wrap again on top of cake to (at least) maintain the shape until kids open them for lunch.

One of my friend was asking me about making nori eyes and mouth. Well, I use this puncher to help me out. I have so much fun to use it since I can create many facial expressions by mix and match the nori cut-outs.

Last weekend were very exciting. Starting from receiving a package from Michelle for her last month's giveaway and Susan Yuen's book, Hawaii's Bento Box cookbook. Yup, both deliveries should be arrived during second week of this month. However, due to Ramadhan holiday, I assume, all had long holidays, including postal service. What a relieve to finally receive them. Thanks a lot to Michelle for this wonderful stuff! I will have so much fun!

Michelle's giveaway
Another books were obtained during weekend
One is Just Bento cookbook, that my lil sister bought in Kinokuniya Singapore. And another one...I do not know how to read the title, I bought it in here.
Bento making books
I am not so good in making a review, so I just give a personal opinion that these books are very good.
Hawaii bento box cookbook has very simple designs and recipes which are easy to follow and the book is in spiral-bound!
Just Bento cookbook provides not-kawaii designs and recipes, but looks yummy to eat. It has Japanese and not-so-Japanese bento. I love that this book gives timeline for set up each bento. What a great idea.
The last book is full page of colored designs and steps in bento making. Each page is a jaw-dropping and I am not sure able to copy it. LOL.

Am I very happy now? Definitely...
