Some worries

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 9:19 PM
Well, actually these are not my worries, but my husband's.
Lately he has two concerns over children. First is their ability to digest food. He heard his colleague said when a kid is two years old, the child may be able to eat adult food. Means the child able to share a meal with us. Thus, recently he is suggesting me to slowly turn their meal into solid food. Arrggghhhh... without any word spoken, it is already in my agenda.
Second worry is their speaking ability. Once again, another colleague of him was sharing his story about his child of 18 months old. His son speaks fluently and very talkative. Errrghghgh....
Months ago, perhaps, I will share the same concern. During these days, somehow I realize that each child is unique. They have own progress and development. As long as the condition is within normal range, I guess it is fine for me. Somebody said to me, there will be a time when a child is capable of certain skill without us-as parents- are rushing him.
Well, come to think of it, it is true. That's why I never -in absolutely aware state of mind- ever in making comparation between Luna and Jovann. Should I wish to find the differences, oh, there are lots of them. However, it is no use. The danger is, we develop a habit by comparing them against their physical, mental, social development, etc. Not to mention later on about their academic skill hehehehehhe
So, back to above story of my husband, I just replied to him a simple "yes, dear, we'll work on it" answer. Anyway, having and raising twins are supposed to be enjoyable and memorable moments... and I'll stick to it.
