Bento #73 Just two of us

Just two of us
Thank you for the inspiration from Mari Miyazawa. I was once asked her permission to make a copy. Her works are always lovely and adorable, never fail to make me smile.

I made two similar box for Luna and Jovann, only differs in color of box. It was made from inari filled almost full with steamed white rice, then sprinkled them with pink dembu and scrambled egg. The head was from quail egg and decorated with nori cut-outs, black sesame seeds, a tint of ketchup.
Some boiled broccoli were added, also a flower from kani. Only by last night I had the idea to make flower kani, it's great..I love the result.

On the other side of box, there were some peeled-apple pieces with some grapes. I had a temptation to put in some more fruits, but I think it will be too much.

Due to previous bad experience with the nori cut-outs being transferred to the back side of box's lid, this time I have laid a piece of baking paper before closing the box. Hopefully the kids will meet the same happy faces during their lunch time.

Submitting is easy and fun. This time What for Lunch Wednesday comes with a good cause!

Super adorable Yenny! I hope the paper worked to keep the cute faces on your food, not the lid.
