little girl |
I had some spare time on last evening at home, and was thinking to make little girl theme bento.
So, I made little red riding hood. The hood was made from sliced ham, put on top of nori hair. Punch-out sausages were added in as her bows. By her side, it was kani rolls in apple shaped, composed by combining two kani rolls together then added tiny leaf and sesame seed. She also accompanied by happy grape tomato and edamame. The other part of box, there were some sliced papayas and star fruit. It is easy to guess that this bento was for my girl.
Well then, I couldn't offer the same theme bento for my boy. I can imagine, he will frown his forehead and address a protest "Why should I get a girl in my box?". So, I prepared panko shrimp fried on top of steamed white rice. Other contents were the same, with kani apple, happy grape tomato, edamame and fruits.
I did most of things on the night before, from making the pattern and cutting the ham, doing kani apple, punching kamaboko for eyes-making and boiling edamame. Thus this morning, I just put everything in place including fried the shrimps.
