Bento 225

Posted by Journal Mommy Yenny at 10:54 AM
Good morning....

A bento for my kids' lunch time

Pardon me for the photo result. I took it in hurry, before they left for school.
I only got one picture while as usual I made 3 identical boxes, only put fewer rice for the youngest one :o)

What's inside: apple pieces, stir fried carrots and green beans with tempeh, triangle onigiri with nori wrap and cute 'hen' made from hard boiled egg.

It is so simple, really. The egg was decorated with punched nori, corn (for beak) and a touch of ketchup. I flat-cut the back side of egg and further half-sliced it, to create the wings. Secured the wings and corn with angel hair pasta, to keep 'hen' in shape when they open the box during lunch time. Oh, for final touch ....pinned a foodpick on top of egg to make her pretty!

Happy lunch  -^.^-
