Today is kids' first day return to school after long break.
I made them a mice from boiled quail egg. The ears were made from sliced sausages.,inserted by the side. They also had fried boneless chicken breast pieces, wakame in orange cup, heart-shaped of steamed green squash and some strawberries.
Lately they are very fond of steamed squash.
I was decorating the mice with black sesame seeds for eyes and mouth, when suddenly the youngest boy appeared and took a peek of the box.
He then said, "Mommy, are you making a mice..? but where are the whiskers...??"
Ups...!! he was so true because I almost forgot about the whiskers.I made them a mice from boiled quail egg. The ears were made from sliced sausages.,inserted by the side. So, the whiskers were made by nori cut-outs.
Thank you for reminding me, my boy...:-D
