This bento was made for meal-time after kids' Sunday school.
Let's admit it, most things unpredictably happen in mom's life.....
I had prepared the bento stash during night before and planned to carefully assemble them in the morning.
Then later during night, 2 kids needed my attention due to bad dreams. Unavoidably...I woke up rather late the next morning...Ouch.. The kids couldn't be late for Sunday school, thus, the bento was done in a hurry ...
Inside the box: three smiling onigiri in nori suits, heart-punched boiled sausages, sauteed baby corn, boiled quail eggs sprinkled with boiled edamame, pan-fried Thai style-fish cakes and zucchini flowers.
After church, we were having a day out with a high-school friend and his family. They have 2 kids, a teen and a toddler while the little one is at the same age with my youngest. Then, I thought, why didn't I make another set for the daughter. It would be great to have kids' lunch session :p
The items are exactly the same with the first box, except for a cup of almond pudding with fruit cocktail added into. My kids already had their puddings at home.
Eventually, they had a fun lunch and finished their meals!
