Tomorrow February 3 is Chinese New Year. Aha! here comes the sleepy bunny. We all know whom these sleepy bunnies are associated with, right?
The bunnies were made from sliced of salmon roll and sticked with spaghetti for their ears. Surround them were seaweed rolls, flowery carrots and some edamames, also melon slices.
Tomorrow will be a busy day because it is a time to visit our parents' house and other elderly relatives to greet them a happy new year. Lots of yummy food will be from traditional sticky rice cake (nian gao), pineapple cookie and other sweet cookies, dried foods, mandarins and the list is going on...
My kids will get red envelopes from elder people and we also distribute red envelopes to our unmarried cousins and relatives.
It would be so much fun since families will gather together. Starting tonight we will have family dinner and I will have a half-day work today. I need to get some new clothes for kids and myself. I know it's kinda 'last minute shopping' and I wish the mall will not be fully packed!
