I refer the recipe for French Toast from Kawaii Bento Boxes: Cute and Convenient Japanese Meal on the go
2 slices of baguette
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tbsp butter
1. Make egg mixture by combining egg, milk and sugar
2. Slice baguette into bite-size pieces and soak in egg mixture. Use a plastic bag for ease.
3. Melt butter in a frying pan, and cook both sides until partially browned. Let cool to pack.
I have to make it twice this morning.
The first time, I quickly pack them into my breakfast box while the remaining 3 pieces were silently being eaten by my daughter.
When I am about to leave home, she asked me to fry some. Ah, thankfully it is so easy to make.
In the box, I also put some mandarin, green grapes and cherries. Could not help myself to insert the new musical-note baran. When I am about to close the box, I feel it needs a touch-up. While still in good spirit to try new alphabets cookie-cutters, I cut sliced cheese to assemble a word.
Voila...! here it is....
